Test & Evaluation Engineer 4 - Instrumentation

Description:
Active Secret clearance required post-start.

Leads the development of test procedures. Works under minimal direction. Guides others in the design of test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements. The person will have demonstrated very strong oral and written communication skills to interface with customers, IPTs, program management, suppliers, stakeholders, and test value streams. Develops and documents standardized test methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity. Provide functional guidance to less experienced staff; act in a technical advisory capacity. Design test systems to meet test requirements. Define requirements for system architecture utilizing system engineering approach. Supports the development and verification of test methods. Provide functional verification and validation of all instrumentation systems prior to test phase. Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan. Designs test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements. Uses analytical tools to verify the design. Analyzes, processes, and formats data to customer requirements. Reviews test data, including off-nominal data, for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer. Prepares and publishes test reports to document test results and satisfy requirements. Presents test results internally. Perform operations and maintenance of test systems. Direct the implementation of solutions to emergent requirements during test programs. Participate in proposal preparation including labor and material estimating. Develop project plans using the principles of project management to achieve program cost, schedule and performance goals. Develop, document, and maintain processes, methods, and tools. Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM), Earned Value Management; and Risk/Issue/Opportunity Management.
Required:
9+ years of experience
Bachelor's Degree

Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
