Software Engineer II

Description:
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer II for a remote contract opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Attend & participate in daily stand-ups for Agile planning
o Reviewing code (maintenance mode)
o Current state: features are already 'done'
o Converting web API's from Node.js to .NET
o Assisting other teams with .Net projects

REQUIREMENTS:
o Candidates must be able to work EST/EDT hours
o 8+ years of experience with .NET Core 3+ (.NET 5+ is preferred)
o 5+ years of experience with TypeScript 3+ (TypeScript 5+ is preferred)
o 4+ years of experience designing and developing web-based or cloud native applications using a statically typed language, such as TypeScript, Go, Rust, or C#
o 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure/DevOps
o 2+ years of experience with Entity Framework
o 5+ years of experience with Linq
o 2+ years of experience writing Unit Tests
o Strong understanding of Sync/Async processing
o Strong understanding of HTTP and REST/web APIs
o Strong written and oral communication skills

Desired Skills & Qualifications
o Node.js and Node frameworks (NestJS, Express, Koa)
o GraphQL
o Experience with real-time streaming communications (VoIP or WebRTC) protocols such as SIP, SDP, SRTP, etc.
o Experience working with containerized applications (e.g., Docker)
o Building applications in a cloud native environment (Azure, GCP, etc.)
o Working with containerized application orchestration (Docker Swarm or Kubernetes)

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's preferred.

WORK HOURS:
Full time, first shift.
