Job Opportunity: Principal Subcontracts Specialist - Honeywell Aerospace

Location: Onsite at Honeywell Aerospace, Tempe Arizona 85284

Pay Rate: Up to $76 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift, Onsite 5 days/week during training. Possible Hybrid after.

Job Description: Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic sourcing professional to join our team as a Principal Subcontracts Specialist. In this role, you will lead the procurement of material and services with our supply base, aligning with business strategies and annual objectives. You will drive competitive commodity and category supply strategies, manage supplier performance, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead supplier management strategies with critical Aerospace suppliers to support Honeywell's supply relationship management, risk mitigation, quality, and annual productivity commitments.

• Execute sourcing strategies aligned with annual price commitments and business growth objectives, utilizing market intelligence and category-specific best practices.

• Develop and strengthen relationships with key global suppliers, driving strategic supplier growth and performance improvements.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholder groups such as GBEs, operations, finance, engineering, and quality.

• Manage supplier selection, pricing negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance processes.

• Improve working capital through payment terms extensions, payment cycle optimization, and lead time reductions.

• Proactively manage global supply chain shortages to support Honeywell's revenue objectives.

• Assist in procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting with assigned suppliers.

• Travel up to 10% may be required.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in supplier management, sourcing, and fulfillment.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

• 3+ years of complex global commodity management leadership experience and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable savings across a complex global supply chain in a decentralized business environment.

• In-depth knowledge and experience in the development, negotiation, and implementation of contracts and pricing agreements.

• Strong analytical ability and proficiency in dealing with large amounts of financial data.

• Proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.

• 3+ years of experience leading and managing complex, global EMS/Electrical/Electronic suppliers.

• Professional certifications in Project/Supply Chain/Procurement/Contract Management.

• Demonstrated financial acumen and understanding.

• Experience working within Aerospace and/or with Aerospace suppliers.

• Self-motivated team leader experience within Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement.

• Experience with SAP or site-relevant ERP systems, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools.

• Project Management and/or Contract Management Experience.

• Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Tools.
