Entry Level Engineering Lab Technician
M&P Engineering Laboratory Team is seeking an Entry Level Engineering Technician to join our team. Individual will be part of a fast paced team and work under direct or minimal supervision to perform a variety of materials analysis and testing per the laboratory's standard work and operating procedures. Will work closely with and under the direction of NDI, Test, Failure Analysis, Quality and R&D engineers to evaluate both metal and composite aircraft parts, new materials, shop processes, field and shop problems. Work with customers to define job scopes and due dates. Manage multiple priorities to plan and complete tasks with high quality and on time and budget. Tasks include macro and micro photo documentation, cutting and sectioning of parts and samples, data compilation and review.

Perform all tasks safely, in a manner that complies to Laboratory Standard work and EH&S policies and regulations.

Requirments include:
- computer skills.
- communication skills needed to support team-based work environment.
- organizational skills with the ability to manage in a fast paced environment with competing priorities

Experience with optical microscopy, digital photography a plus, common and specialized hand tools, power tools such as reciprocating saws and dremel tool, personal computers, microsoft office applications ( word, excel, access, powerpoint), and the ability to follow written work instructions required. The ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure team environment a must.

Off-shift work and overtime may be required to support business needs.

High School Diploma or equivalent, plus additional specialized courses or short term training (one year or less) with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience or up to an Associate’s Degree, Technical/business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school training (two years duration) with minimum of 2 years plus experience.
