Position Title: Embedded Systems Engineer
Job Description/Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience: Master of Science in related discipline or a Bachelor of Science and 5+ years of relevant experience.
No Foreign Nationals: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residents required.
Responsibilities:
The Embedded Engineer will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks necessary to develop embedded systems for applications in aerospace systems and human physiological monitoring. These tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software
• Develop firmware for multiple architectures and platforms
• Perform management of configuration and source code
• Design modules/subsystems that optimize the following goals:
• Run-time performance
• Memory requirements
• Simplicity
• Reliability
• Accuracy
• Write progress reports and design documentation

Required Skills:
The candidate must possess the following:
• Demonstrated experience with microprocessors, DSPs, and FPGAs
• Extensive knowledge of C, C++ and C# coding in an embedded environment
• Experienced with a variety of 8, 16 and 32 bit microprocessors
• Hands-on experience with hardware and software design tools for embedded systems
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects to completion
• Proven skills in communication (written and oral) and human relations
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to discuss technical project details appropriately with management and customers

Desired Skills:
• Experience with Embedded Linux, RTOS, device drivers, COM protocols, sensors, and actuators
• Embedded ARM experience
• Circuit design for mixed-signal applications
• Experience in the aerospace/aeronautical industry
