SME - Electrical Harness

Description:
Candidate shall provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for the Space Launch System (SLS) program with responsibilities over the Electrical Manufacturing efforts in the production of the Exploration Upper Stage (EUS) spacecraft harness development. Candidate shall perform an Executability Assessment of EUS harness development to determine if design, manufacture, integration, test, and/or delivery dates will meet SLS program milestones according to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Candidate shall include updates on the in-progress and completed work tasks in the monthly Program Status Report.
• Candidate shall create documents and presentations on the current state of their work in support of meetings or reviews as requested.
• Candidate shall assist across disciplines with focus on efficiency, timely production execution and design producibility:
• Candidate shall perform gaps analysis of EUS harness design process, including mechanical layouts in CREO, to determine possible risks and corrective action(s). Candidate shall complete all analyses by the end of the period of performance and shall submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
• Candidate shall develop the EUS harness manufacturing process definition to provide recommendations for internal and external manufacturing allocations based on factors such as; experience, manufacturing capacity, lead time, etc. Candidate shall complete process definition development by the end of the period of performance and shall submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
• Candidate shall analyze Performance-to-Plan (PtP) for EUS harness manufacturing of internal and external manufacturing allocations to provide integration approach recommendations for avoiding risks associated with handoffs between and within both groups. Candidate shall complete all analysis by the end of the period of performance and shall submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
• Candidate shall perform viability analysis of Harness Test Procedures to determine best practices for incorporation into the EUS Manufacturing Plan. Candidate shall complete all analyses by the end of the period of performance and shall submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.
• Candidate shall assess risks to program milestones for EUS Harnesses, considering any historical performance and lessons learned. Candidate shall complete all assessments by the end of the period of performance and shall submit findings as part of the monthly Program Status Report.

Required: BS degree in Engineering is required.

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
Candidate must be able to pass a background check.
