Configuration Management Specialist

Description:
A Configuration Management Specialist job in San Antonio, TX is currently available through Belcan with one of our key aerospace clients. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in the preparation, review, validation and release of Product Definition design and deliverables in support of the various program teams. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree Engineering, or a related discipline, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US citizenship is required.

Configuration Management Specialist Job duties:

* Performing and guiding others in performing non-technical checks of engineering Production Definition data, documentation drawings/other data to verify that the data meets design standards, contract, procedural and system requirements.
* Interacting with multiple disciplines, teams, suppliers and/or customers.
* Leading the scheduling, tracking, review, release and delivery of Contract Deliverables (CDRL) in support of the various program teams.
* Verification/support of completed data deliveries, customer acceptance and follow on actions.

Qualifications:

* Experience creating, implementing configuration management in support of a program/project.
* Knowledge and experience participating in the Configuration Change Board process.
* Knowledge of Configuration Status Accounting for military programs.
* Knowledge of Class 1/Class 2 change classifications.
* Knowledge/experience with standards such as Mil-STD-480, Mil-STD-973, or Mil-STD-598.
