Quality Engineer II

Description:
We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for a Laser Tracker Inspector to join a leading Company located in the Louisville, KY surrounding area.

**U.S. Citizenship Required**

Looking for a weekend shift Laser Tracker Inspector for our Louisville, KY location.

Job Responsibilities:
Develops quality plans, quality assurance procedures, work instructions.
Performs layout work with applicable measurement equipment.
Reads and interprets customer drawings and specifications and identifies appropriate inspection methods.
Interprets geometric dimensioning and tolerancing specifications.
Performs 1st piece, last piece, and in process inspection checks.
Candidate will be working with large weldments and complex machining alignments.
Provides support to Manufacturing Engineering and other business units.
May direct the work of less senior personnel.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to use computers to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of verifiable relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience.
Experience with a Leica, FARO, or API Laser Tracker.
Experience with Spatial Analyzer or similar software.
Working knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
